Scholarship is available to applicants from the United States and abroad who
are pursuing undergraduate study on a full-time basis. The scholarship is
awarded on a merit-basis only and recognizes the creative and academic
achievements of applicants.
Scholarship Open for International Students: This scholarship
is open for national and international students.
Scholarship Description: Each year, one
full-tuition MECA scholarship will be awarded to a high school applicant
demonstrating exceptional artistic and academic excellence. To qualify,
students must complete the application process for undergraduate admissions by
February 1 and submit their portfolio for review.
Objectives of the Scholarship : Financial aid
programs and services assist students and families with paying for college.
Over 85% of Maine College of Art’s BFA degree students receive some type of
financial assistance.
Number of awards offered : Each year, one full-tuition MECA
scholarship will be awarded to a high school applicant demonstrating
exceptional artistic and academic excellence.
Tenure of award : Awards are renewable for three subsequent years of study,
based on the student maintaining full-time enrollment and satisfactory
academic progress.
Value : Full-tuition fee
Selection criteria: The scholarship is awarded on a merit-basis only and
recognizes the creative and academic achievements of applicants.
How to Apply: Complete the application for undergraduate admissions
process.
- Submit their portfolio in digital format. Digital work should be submitted as high quality jpegs, at least 800 x 600 pixels but no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels. Applicants who have already had portfolio review must resubmit their portfolios.
-Complete and submit this scholarship application.
