Description:

The University of Bern Masters Grants provides an opportunity for international students to pursue a Master’s programme beginning in autumn 2015/2016.

All Master’s Programme offered at University of Bern with the exception of Biomedical Science.

Target group:

International students

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The grant consists of a monthly stipend of CHF 1,600.00, exemption from one-off application fee, and exemption from tuition fees.

Eligibility:

>   Permanent domicile outside of Switzerland at the time of applying
>   Bachelor degree from a non-Swiss university outside Switzerland
>   The discipline of the completed Bachelor studies and of the intended Master studies must be same
>   Predicted completion of the Bachelor studies at the latest by 30 July 2015
>   The Bachelor degree conferred in the last five (5) years.

Application instructions:

To apply for the scholarship, you must submit the application form with supporting documents by post or courier to the University. The deadline for applications is 28 November 2014.

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships

Description:

For 2015/16 entry, the Warwick Graduate School expects to award around 25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants.  The Chancellor’s International Scholarships are allocated annually via a combined postgraduate research scholarship competition and are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Awards made for entry in autumn 2015 will include both of the following:
• The full payment of overseas tuition fees (worth up to £17,130 at 13/14 rates)
• A maintenance stipend in line with RCUK rates (provisional £14,140* for full time award holders in 2015/16)

Eligibility:

• Applicants for a Chancellor’s International Scholarship must also be applying for a PhD at the University of Warwick to begin in October 2015;
• Students currently enrolled on a PhD or MPhil /PhD at the University of Warwick may apply in their first year of registration only;
• Applicants must expect to be ‘overseas’ students for fees purposes, but there is no other nationality criteria;
• Applicants may be from any discipline at Warwick.

Application instructions:

New applicants can apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship by completing the Joint Postgraduate Admissions and Scholarship Application form. If you are eligible for this scholarship you will be asked if you would like to be considered for funding as part of your application to the University. The deadline for applications is 12 January 2015.
