Description:

The University of Adelaide offers Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) to attract high quality overseas postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the University of Adelaide to support its research effort.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarships includes course tuition fees, annual living allowance ($25,392 in 2014), and health insurance (if award holder holds a subclass 574 visa). The scholarship covers a period of two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree.

Eligibility:

Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honors degree (this is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year) and must enroll in the University of Adelaide as ‘international students’ and must maintain ‘international student’ status for the duration of their enrollment in the University.  See the official website for the complete eligibility requirements.

Applications for these scholarships are always highly competitive.  Generally ASI recipients have completed a Masters degree including a significant research component and have several publications and relevant work and research experience.

To apply, you must submit a formal application for Admission and a Scholarship via the online application system.  You can apply for an Adelaide Scholarships International in one of the four scholarship rounds. All Home, EU or International students who have firmly accepted their unconditional or conditional offer of a place to study on a postgraduate programme at LSBU are invited to apply for a scholarship.

You will have achieved first-class honors in an undergraduate degree from any UK university (or international equivalent) and can show evidence of key academic, professional and practical achievements. Achievements should be at national or international level and demonstrate local impact.

50% off international student tuition fee

Eligibility:

In order to be considered for a Chancellor’s International Scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:

• Have applied for and accepted a place to start a Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Sussex (e.g., MA, MSc, LLM, MRes, Postgraduate Diploma, and Graduate Diploma) excluding the following degrees:

* Courses in the Institute of Development Studies, except the MA Gender and Development course

* MSc in Social Research Methods + DPhil combined (1+3 degrees)

* International foundation years, International Year One Diploma in Business and Management, and Pre-masters

* Pre-Masters Degrees and Diplomas taught at partner colleges which are validated by Sussex.

• Be assessed as liable to pay fees at the “overseas” (namely the non-EU) rate.

• Have sufficient funds to meet your tuition fees and living expenses, after taking account of the possible award of a Chancellor’s International Scholarship.

Students who hold other University of Sussex scholarships will not be eligible for the Chancellors International Scholarship.

Completed applications form must be received by 1 May prior to the academic year commencing in September.
