2015 Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students in Australia



Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)

Description:

The University of Adelaide offers Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) to attract high quality overseas postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the University of Adelaide to support its research effort.

Any Masters degree by Research or Doctoral Research Degree offered at the University.

Target group:

International students (except New Zealand)

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarships includes course tuition fees, annual living allowance ($25,849 in 2015), and overseas student health cover (if award holder holds a subclass 574 visa).

Eligibility:

Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honors degree (this is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year). All qualifying programs of study must be successfully completed.  Generally, ASI recipients have completed a Masters degree including a significant research component and have several publications and relevant work and research experience.

Candidates are required to enroll in the University of Adelaide as ‘international students’ and must maintain ‘international student’ status for the duration of their enrolment in the University.

To apply, you must submit a formal application for Admission and a Scholarship via the online application system.  The next deadline will be 15 January 2015 for Semester 1, 2015 intake.

2015 UK Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students



Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships

Description:

For 2015/16 entry, the Warwick Graduate School expects to award around 25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants.  The Chancellor’s International Scholarships are allocated annually via a combined postgraduate research scholarship competition and are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Awards made for entry in autumn 2015 will include both of the following:
• The full payment of overseas tuition fees (worth up to £17,130 at 13/14 rates)
• A maintenance stipend in line with RCUK rates (provisional £14,140* for full time award holders in 2015/16)

Eligibility:

• Applicants for a Chancellor’s International Scholarship must also be applying for a PhD at the University of Warwick to begin in October 2015;
• Students currently enrolled on a PhD or MPhil /PhD at the University of Warwick may apply in their first year of registration only;
• Applicants must expect to be ‘overseas’ students for fees purposes, but there is no other nationality criteria;
• Applicants may be from any discipline at Warwick.

Application instructions:

New applicants can apply for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship by completing the Joint Postgraduate Admissions and Scholarship Application form. If you are eligible for this scholarship you will be asked if you would like to be considered for funding as part of your application to the University. The deadline for applications is 12 January 2015.

2015 Commonwealth Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students



Commonwealth Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries

Description: 

The Commonwealth Scholarships are intended for students from developing Commonwealth countries who wants to pursue Master’s and PhD study in the UK. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Host Institution(s):

You are requested to apply for a course of study at UK universities with which the CSC has a part funding agreement.

Field(s) of study:

All subject areas are eligible, although the CSC’s selection criteria give priority to those applications that demonstrate strong relevance to development.

Target group:

The scholarships are targeted to citizens of Developing Commonwealth Countries.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Each Scholarship provides airfare to and from United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintaining allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), initial arrival allowance, among others. Please see the 2015 Commonwealth Scholarship Prospectus for full scholarship benefits. Approximately 300 of these scholarships are awarded each year.

Eligibility:

To apply for the awards covered in this prospectus, candidates should:

• Be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British protected persons
• Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
• Be available to commence their academic studies in the United Kingdom by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2015
• Hold, by October 2015, a first degree of upper second class Honors’ standard (or above); or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification, which will normally be a Master’s degree.

Application instructions:

The CSC cannot accept any applications direct from candidates for these scholarships. All applications must be made through your nominating agency (or university/university body, if applicable) in your home country. You must check with them in the first instance for specific advice on how to make an application and for their own closing date.

All Commonwealth Scholarship candidates must be nominated by an approved nominating agency/ university/university body, and must submit their application form using the Electronic Application System (EAS).  Deadline for applications is 3 December 2014.
