The Hague University offers scholarships to outstanding international students who would like to start their bachelor programme during the academic year 2013-2014.

Students from outside the European Union (and not from Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Surinam)

Scholarship value/inclusions:

At €5,000 each, the scholarships cover almost two-thirds of the total first year university’s tuition fee and will only be awarded once.

Eligibility:

You are eligible to apply for one of these scholarships if:

•  You come from outside the European Union (and not from Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Surinam)

•  You are enrolling for the first time for the first year of one of our bachelor programmes

•  You would otherwise have to pay the full institutional tuition fee rate

•  You have never used this scholarship scheme before

•  You have fully completed the scholarship application form

•  You will have been provisionally accepted as a student on or before  31 March

•  You have written an essay, as explained below

Application instructions:

To apply, you must complete the scholarship application form and write an essay of 950 to 1100 words that would convince us to provide you with a scholarship. In the essay, describe your cultural background and explain why and how you can contribute to the multinational, multicultural beehive that is The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Eligibility:

You can apply for this scholarship if you:

•  Are from Africa, India or one of the countries of the Commonwealth listed above AND
•  Are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
•  Already hold an offer to start a full-time Masters degree programme (including MRes) at Nottingham in September 2013 in one of the areas of study listed above.

Application instructions:

Only students who have been offered a place of study at Nottingham University are eligible for this scholarship. The closing date for applications is 26 April 2013.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The University of Birmingham is offering International Postgraduate Scholarships worth £10,000 towards the cost of tuition fees for a one year masters course. These awards are for tuition fees only and cannot be used for maintenance/living costs.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have an excellent academic background. Due to the level of competition for these scholarships, only applicants with a 1st class bachelors degree will be considered.

Applicants must also demonstrate excellence in an area of their life. This might be outstanding academic achievement, exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities (such as sport, music, managing events or societies) or significant achievement gained either in their working life or through volunteering and service to others.

Applicants must also outline the contribution they will make to the University of Birmingham as a student and what they expect to gain from studying here.
In order to apply candidates must:

- be overseas for fee purposes
- have applied for a one year full time masters course and have been issued with a student id number
- not be in receipt of a full fee scholarship from any other source
- have made adequate financial provision to study in the UK

You must have made an application to study at the University of Birmingham and have been admitted before submitting a scholarship application. The scholarship application form will be sent automatically to students who have received an offer of admission on an eligible course for the 2013/14 academic year.

Description: 

The Denmark Government welcomes highly qualified and motivated international students from all over the world to study in Denmark. A number of scholarships are therefore offered each year by the Danish Ministry of Education to fund students from countries outside the European Union/ European Economic Area. The scholarships can be awarded for a full degree programme or for part of a degree programme at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Approved full-time or part-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes

Target group:

The Danish Scholarships are open to Non EU/EEA International Students.   For students from 23 European Countries and China, Japan, Israel, Egypt and Russia, see the Danish Government Scholarships under the Cultural Agreements.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The government scholarship consists of two parts and can be given as full or partial tuition fee waivers and/or grants towards covering your living costs. However, as the scholarships are administered by the individual higher education institution, you should ask for further details at the institution of your choice.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible to apply for a scholarship you have to be:

•  A citizen of a country outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland.
•  Enrolled in a full degree higher education programme.
• Granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark due to education

You are not eligible for a scholarship if you are:

•  Seeking admission to a university level institution of arts, design and architecture
•  have a legal claim to the rights of Danish citizens
•  have been granted a residence permit at the time of admission by the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9c, subsection 1, as the child of a foreign citizen who has been granted a residence permit in accordance with the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9a, and who  is a citizen of a country that is not acceded to the EU or covered by the EEA agreement
•  is a student who is eligible for a grant in accordance with Danish Law regarding the State Education Fund

Application instructions:

If you would like to apply for a scholarship, contact the Danish Higher Education Institution which offers the specific study programme you are interested in. Completed applications should be returned to the agency from which the form was obtained, or to the address indicated on the front of the form. Complete applications should be sent by post. The assessment process will be undertaken by a panel experienced in the mentioned field of study. To get started and receive a scholarship application package.
