Transform Together scholarships are open to international students applying to study at Sheffield Hallam University to enroll in the 2014/15 academic year.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Full fee waiver (100% discount) for Postgraduate courses and 50% fee discount for each year of your degree for Undergraduate courses.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships, you must:
• Postgraduate only –has achieved a minimum 2.1 or equivalent in your honors degree and must meet the minimum English and academic entry requirements for your course.
• Undergraduate only – have achieved or exceeded the English and academic entry requirements for the course
• Have an offer for a full–time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University starting in 2014/15.
• BE self-funding your studies
• BE classed as an international student for fees purposes
• BE able to pay any additional fees your course may require, for example field trips.

Application instructions:

To apply for a Transform Together Scholarship you must have received an offer for a full-time taught course at Sheffield Hallam University starting in 2014/15.   Once you’ve received an offer for a course, you must submit the scholarship application form by post. Scholarship applications for courses starting in January 2015 must be submitted by 1 November 2014.

Eligibility:

You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at University of Westminster.  The main criteria are First Class Honors degree, financial need and development potential.

Application instructions:

Please note that you should only apply for a scholarship once you have applied for admission and successfully been offered a place (either conditional or unconditional) on the course you wish to study.  To apply for a scholarship, you will need to complete the relevant scholarship application form and send it by POST to the Scholarship Office.  The deadline for applications for entry in January 2015 is 17 October 2014.

2015 Commonwealth Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students



Commonwealth Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries

Description: 

The Commonwealth Scholarships are intended for students from developing Commonwealth countries who wants to pursue Master’s and PhD study in the UK. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Host Institution(s):

You are requested to apply for a course of study at UK universities with which the CSC has a part funding agreement.

Field(s) of study:

All subject areas are eligible, although the CSC’s selection criteria give priority to those applications that demonstrate strong relevance to development.

Target group:

The scholarships are targeted to citizens of Developing Commonwealth Countries.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Each Scholarship provides airfare to and from United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintaining allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), initial arrival allowance, among others. Please see the 2015 Commonwealth Scholarship Prospectus for full scholarship benefits. Approximately 300 of these scholarships are awarded each year.

Eligibility:

To apply for the awards covered in this prospectus, candidates should:

• Be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British protected persons
• Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
• Be available to commence their academic studies in the United Kingdom by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2015
• Hold, by October 2015, a first degree of upper second class Honors’ standard (or above); or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification, which will normally be a Master’s degree.

Application instructions:

The CSC cannot accept any applications direct from candidates for these scholarships. All applications must be made through your nominating agency (or university/university body, if applicable) in your home country. You must check with them in the first instance for specific advice on how to make an application and for their own closing date.

All Commonwealth Scholarship candidates must be nominated by an approved nominating agency/ university/university body, and must submit their application form using the Electronic Application System (EAS).  Deadline for applications is 3 December 2014.

The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. It has been designed to recognize academic excellence and provide financial assistance for international students.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
• Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
• Have met the University’s academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a FULL OFFER of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
• Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.

Application instructions:
Applicants must hold a FULL OFFER of admission for an eligible course by the deadline to be considered for the scholarship. Applicants must complete a course application form and a scholarship application form. Applications for Session 1, 2015 intake must be submitted by 31 January 2015.
