As an agent of positive change in the region, IEDC-Bled School of Management has traditionally provided a small number of scholarships aimed at supporting and promoting economic development and leadership in the emerging economies.

Following this tradition, IEDC is proud to announce its Executive MBA Scholarship Awards Competition for the 2014 One-Year and Two-Year Executive MBA Program.

One-Year or Two-Year Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

Target group:

Open to outstanding candidates who meet the qualifying criteria.  Financial need and diversity are two of the major criteria in awarding the scholarships.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Up to 50% off the tuition fees for the 2012 One-Year and Two-Year Executive MBA Program.   The actual amount of the scholarship granted to each individual is decided based on the Scholarship Committee Meeting decision after the entire pool of applicants has been evaluated.

Please note that in case granted a scholarship, the applicant must be able to cover the rest of the tuition fee amount, as well as costs related to undertaking the program (accommodation, travel, visa, daily expenses).

Eligibility:

Executive MBA Scholarship Campaign 2014 is open to qualifying candidates only. To qualify, you:

• must meet the general admission criteria (completed Bologna Bachelor level, minimum 3 years of meaningful work experience, fluent English);

• be an outstanding candidate who enhances the diversity of the class membership;

• be a candidate in clear need of partial financial assistance;

• be a candidate who submits a thoughtful and well-written scholarship award essay.

Application instructions:

For 2014 competition, the deadline for scholarship applications is 1 October 2013. The mode of applying by post. The assessment process will be undertaken by a panel experienced in the mentioned field of study. To get started and receive a scholarship application package.

Description:

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides a year of professional enrichment in the United States for experienced professionals from designated countries throughout the world. Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or private sector.

The Humphrey Program is a non-degree-granting program. Participants may complete academic coursework at their host university to update their academic and professional knowledge in their field, but they do not receive an academic degree as a result of their participation in the program.

Fellows are placed at one of eighteen participating USA universities.  Fellows are not able to choose which university they will attend. Rather, they are assigned to the most appropriate host institution based on their area of interest and professional field.

• A maintenance (living) allowance, including a one-time settling-in allowance;

• Accident and sickness coverage;

• A book allowance;

• A one-time computer subsidy;

• Air travel (international travel to and from the U.S. for the program and domestic travel to required program events);

• A Professional Development allowance for professional activities, such as field trips, professional visits and conferences.

Eligibility:

The applicant must have:

• An undergraduate (first university) degree,

• A minimum of five years of substantial professional experience,

• Limited or no prior experience in the United States,

• Demonstrated leadership qualities,

• A record of public service in the community, and

• Strong English skills.

Application instructions:

The deadlines for applicants vary by country but falls around May to September each year. Please check with the Embassy or Fulbright Commission in your country to learn about the exact deadline for submitting applications.  Embassies and Commissions must submit their nominations to the Institute of International Education office in Washington, DC by 1 October.

Description:

The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master’s by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS).  The objective of the USydIS is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to undertake research projects which will enhance the University’s research activities.

Fields of study:

The USydIS is open to all research disciplines; however participation in the USydIS program each semester is at the discretion of the Dean of each faculty.

Target group:

International students wishing to pursue a research program at the University.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester’s extension for PhD students.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be admitted as a student under a Postgraduate Research or Masters by Research Program at the University of Sydney. Inquire with the scholarship provider for more information.

Application instructions:

Applicants, who wish to be considered for the IPRS and USydIS awards for semester 1, may indicate this by completing the relevant section of the Postgraduate Research Application Form. Applicants should first apply for entry to a PhD programme at the University of Sydney, and then submit a USYD-CSC Postgraduate Research Scholarship application.
To be considered for the USydIS for semester 1 (MARCH), applications for admission to a research degree MUST be received by the International Office by 31 July of the previous year.  To be considered for the USydIS for semester 2 (JULY), applications for admission to a research degree MUST be received by the International Student Office by 15 December of the previous year.
